- 03.19.12 - Guess what, folks?  We're going to be celebrating the end of the ski season on April 8 at the Telluride Ski Resort.  We're playing from 3 to 6 p.m. at the base of chairlift 4, just outside of Tomboy Tavern.  This is going to be wild - this is a party you don't want to miss.   Can't wait to jam for all of the funky monkeys in Glenwood Springs on Saturday.  See you there.

- 03.14.12 -  Check out the new video of Ethan, Tom and Wes on the Gondola Game Show.  Thanks to Brent, David, Suz and all the folks at Plum TV for making that happen.  More gigs to be announced soon - get excited!

- 03.02.12 - And we're back! We have some brand, spanking new originals for you.  Can't wait for all the funky monkeys to hear them.  We're excited to announce that we're going to be playing in Glenwood Springs at Sunlight Mountain Resort for their annual Spring Thing Invitational Rail Jam.  We play from 2-5 p.m.  See you there.

- 02.03.12 - Thanks for partying with us last night.  We always love crushing the Buck.  Thanks also for helping us introduce Sam Burgess on bass.  We are extremely excited to have Sam on board.  He's got some serious chops on the four-string, and he likes to get funky, so he should fit right in.  Although we love rocking out so much, we're going to take the rest of February off to write some new tunes and experiment with the new sound.  Don't worry now - it won't be too long.   See you in March! 

- 01.23.12 - We hope everybody has had a relaxing January because it's time to get back to business.  We will be rocking The Last Dollar Saloon on Thursday, February 2 at 10 p.m.   It's going to be a party - everybody loves free shows at the Buck.  And in case you've been sleeping under a rock since Thanksgiving, check out Hunting Season.  You can listen to it for free on the audio page, and it is available for download on iTunes.  Rawk!

- 12.11.11. - Thanks to all the Funky Monkeys for getting down with us at the Llama on Thursday night.  We are excited to announce that we are going to help bring in the new year at the Fly Me to the Moon Saloon on New Year's Eve.  Tickets are only $10 (definitely the cheapest in Telluride) and a midnight champagne toast and party favors are included.  Advance tickets are available at Wizard Entertainment.  In the meantime, check us out at the World Cup Closing Party on Saturday (12/17) in Mountain Village.  We start at 2 p.m.  Let's party.

- 12.07.11 - Have you heard Hunting Season yet?  If not, give it a listen.  We want to thank everybody who joined us at the Moon to celebrate the release and everyone who couldn't be there, too.  We also want to thank everyone who has given us a chance and downloaded the recording.  In case you don't know, Hunting Season is available for download on iTunes and Amazon.  In other news, we're excited to rock the Llama tomorrow night at 10 p.m.  - don't miss it; it's going to be a good one.

- 11.24.11 - Happy Thanksgiving, folks!  If you didn't check out today's Telluride Daily Planet, check out this article.  Thanks for making that happen Charlie.  In other news, the mountain is open, and winter has hit Telluride.  Who's ready to rock?  The EP drops tomorrow, and we are excited to announce that KOTO is interviewing us live on the air at 4 p.m. tomorrow (11/25).  Just tune to 91.7 on your fm dial, or you can listen to a live stream at koto.org.  We love community radio.

- 11.16.11 - Well, it's been a nice, restful off-season, but it's time to get down to business.  We are excited to announce that we are starting the winter season on Friday, Nov. 25 at the Fly Me to the Moon Saloon.  That's right, the moon is re-opening its doors, and we're going to help them get things started.  This is going to be a party for all the funky monkeys - two drumsets, keys... oh my goodness. And by the way, we're going to release our EP "Hunting Season" at the show.  Yes, we're talkin' serious - this is going to be one you won't want to miss.  

- 11.08.11 - What's up, funky monkeys? Hope everyone had a good off-season because it's time to rock.  Over the past few weeks, we've been busy recording an EP for your listening enjoyment.  We can't wait for you to hear it.  More details soon.  In other news, we're finalizing our winter schedule.  It's looking like a busy season, so you better be ready for some fun.  For starters, we can't wait to bring it at the Llama on Dec. 8, and who's ready to get down for the World Cup on Dec. 17?  But you know that's not all - we will be announcing more shows very soon.  By the way, are you a fan on facebook?

- 09.16.11 -  Well, it's been a fantastic summer.  We want to thank all the funky monkeys for grooving with us for the past few months.  Thanks to everyone who helped us rage last night at the Buck, and big ups to Lauren G for jamming with us. Unfortunately, we're taking a short break for a few weeks to retool our material and get in gear for the winter.  Don't you worry, we'll be playing again before you know it.

- 09.02.01 - Great news! The Great Funktier is making it happen in September.  First, we're going to crush at the Llama on Sunday, 9/4, at 10 p.m.  Second, we're going to check out the Elk's Lodge on Friday, 9/9, for the Telluride Farmers' Market Harvest Dinner at 6 p.m.  For $30, you get a three course meal, a drink and delicious funk provided  by yours truly.  Third, we're going to rock the Buck on Thursday, 9/15, and help everybody get excited for Blues and Brews.

- 08.31.11 - We just got back from North Carolina - it was such an amazing trip.  We want to thank everyone who helped make Music On the Mountaintop possible, and we want to the thank the guys from StrangeLady for letting us use their gear.  Big ups to Kathrine Warren for her article about the gig - much appreciated.  Also, thanks to the folks at Honest Tune Magazine for hanging out with us; we can't wait to see the videos.  Telluride, we hope you're ready for some brand new funk on Sunday 9/4 at the Llama.  Get pumped!

- 08.12.11 - Thanks to all the funky monkeys for getting down at the Buck last night.  We hope you had as much fun as we did.  We hope everybody is excited for Music On the Mountaintop in a few weeks.  We are pumped.  For those of you who can't make it, don't worry - we'll be at the Llama on Sept 4.  See you there.

- 08.03.11 - What's up funky monkeys?  Who had fun at the Cajun festival? We sure did.  We're going to squeeze in a gig in Telluride before we head to North Carolina for Music On the Mountaintop.  Check us out at the Buck on Thursday, Aug. 11 at 10 p.m.  Better see you on the dance-floor.

- 07.25.11 - Make sure you stop by the Wizard and get tickets for the Telluride Cajun Festival on Friday. They're only $10 now, but they'll be $15 on Friday.

- 07.21.11 - Big news, we just got word that we're going to play Music on the Mountaintop in Boone, N.C., on August 27.  For the three of us from the great state of North Carolina, this is going to be an exciting homecoming.  Plus, we're pumped to share the stage with Sam Bush, Railroad Earth, 7 Walkers and so many other incredible performers. N.C. better be ready to get funky.

- 07.13.11 - Well, July 3rd was a lot of fun.  Thanks to everyone who weathered through the rain at the Historical Museum, and thanks to all the funky monkeys for getting down at the Llama.  We're pleased to announce that we will be joining Mia Borders on stage at the Telluride Cajun Festival on July 29th.  It's going to be held at Oak, the new Fat Alley.  More details soon.  Also, check back soon for some more announcements - we've got a lot in the works.

- 06.27.11 - We know how much all you funky monkeys like to celebrate the 4th, so we're going to help you get started a day early with a double-header on July 3rd.  We'll be playing at 2 p.m. at the 
Telluride Historical Museum to help them introduce their new outdoor exhibit.  It's a free show, and there's going to be free beer (....no joke, free beer).  Then, we'll be hitting the Llama at 10 p.m. to lay down some late-night funk.  Don't miss out.

- 06.07.11 - Wow, Durango was a lot of fun.  Thank you to everyone who made it out and especially to those who came all the way from Telluride to see their favorite band.  Speaking of Telluride, we can't believe it's been over two months since we've played in the band's hometown.  We better see you at
the Llama on Saturday.

- 05.30.11 - Whoa! Major updates to the website.  We're pumped for the summer.  Headed into the studio this week, then down to Durango on Saturday for the show at the Summit.  Don't worry, we'll be returning to Telluride on June 11 at the Llama.  Check out the shows page for more information.  We'll be announcing more shows in the coming weeks, so check back soon for updates.

- 03.31.11 - The Great Funktier is getting out of the box canyon! We're pleased to announce that we're going to play on June 4th at The Summit in Durango.  Who's ready for a road trip?  In the meantime, make sure you make it to the Buck tonight, and we better see you on main street tomorrow afternoon while bring the fresh funkiness to Street Dance.

- 03.01.11 - Well, February sure flew by for us, but we had a blast.  Thanks to everyone who came to the Llama on the 4th and the Buck on the 17th.  March is going to be a big month for The Great Funktier, so get ready to party.  We're going to be playing a few private parties around Telluride, then we're going to hit The Last Dollar Saloon on March 31.  We're also excited to be playing KOTO's Street Dance on April 1 with Ralph Dinosaur.  We've been doing some recording, so expect some new tunes on the audio page soon.
